Who we are

This website is run by Secret Waves Yachts & Boats Rental (operated by Secret Waves Events L.L.C.), a private yacht charter company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Secret Waves Yachts & Boats Rental.

What we collect

• Booking requests. When you use our booking form we receive your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, occasion, preferred date, number of guests, duration, the yacht you have in mind and your message.
• WhatsApp, calls and email. When you contact us directly, we receive your number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
• Website usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location (city or country) and how you arrived. This information does not tell us who you are.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website.

How we use it

• To answer your request, check availability and send you options and a final price.
• To organise and confirm your charter.
• To keep the accounting and tax records required by UAE law for confirmed bookings.
• To improve our website, using anonymous usage statistics.

Who can see it

Your details stay within Secret Waves Yachts & Boats Rental. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use it for advertising.

To run the service we rely on a few technical providers, who process data only on our behalf: our website and email hosting provider (Hostinger), Google Analytics (Google) and WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there. Some of these providers may store data outside the UAE.

We may disclose information if the law or a competent authority requires it.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies, small files stored in your browser, to count visits and see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works normally without them.

How long we keep it

We keep booking enquiries for up to 12 months, and records of confirmed bookings for as long as UAE accounting rules require. Website statistics are kept for a limited period.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to info@secretwavesyachts.com and we will reply within 30 days. Where we can no longer delete something because the law requires us to keep it, we will tell you.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We keep your information on secure, access-restricted systems and only use it for the purposes above.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
